Now Hiring Probate and Estate Planning Associate
Probate and Estate Planning Associate
We are an Estate Planning and Asset Protection Law Firm and our mission are to help our clients preserve and protect their family, assets, and ultimately, their legacy.
This is not your typical stuffy law firm. Our down-to-earth approach requires that everyone is included as a critical part of the team. Your suggestions and opinions about how to serve our clients better are not just welcome but are required as we are constantly striving to grow and improve. We also expect you to have this kind of GROWTH mindset – both personally and professionally.
We are looking for a sharp Estate Planning and Probate Associate with 3+ years of relevant experience who can handle Probate files from opening through close.
The ideal candidate MUST be able to work independently. You must be able to handle working with several different databases of information and we expect you to move a client file from start to finish while remaining within deadlines and delegating necessary work to others on the team, including other Partner Attorneys. You MUST be able to think on your feet and make smart decisions. We are very busy and need you to be straightforward and direct, but most importantly, keep always a positive attitude.
We are looking for a person who is organized, process-oriented, and can manage our clients’ matters without details falling through the cracks. If you lose things, get distracted easily, or are a hot mess, for the love of all things holy – save us both a lot of frustration and DO NOT APPLY!
This is a client-facing position. You will be dealing directly with clients and responsible for communicating with other counsel/advisors so you must be reasonably personable and understand that the practice of law is a service industry. We are here to serve our clients so they must LIKE to work with you. All our clients must have the same “Wow!” experience. If clients complain about your attitude or demeanor, this isn’t going to be a good fit for you.
At an absolute minimum, you should have a strong work ethic, common sense/good judgment, a professional appearance, and most importantly, a POSITIVE demeanor.
Is this an easy job? No. But, we believe that anything great is worth working for, and our most significant growth comes from the biggest challenges…
- 3+ years of Probate experience or enough to be COMPETENT, CONFIDENT, and mostly AUTONOMOUS in this role
- Proficiency with Word, Adobe, and Excel is expected; knowledge of Clio and Monday.com is a plus. Must be comfortable learning other software programs
- Must be a member of The Florida Bar
- Bilingual English/Spanish
